We are open to ideas and invite people in our local community to hep create a shared community resource.
Drop in for a chat, or come and spend some time in the garden!

To grow a range of vegetables for volunteers to harvest
and consume. Ensuring food security.

Gather knowledge and share ideas on edible gardening.

Strengthen and promote the garden ideals and the concepts of sustainable living.




Encourage and educate about saving seed.

To provide a place for the community to come together.
To provide growing space for those renting or without their own garden.
OUR GARDEN IS GROWING
Our new Community Garden is evolving! We are using land adjacent to our current site to bring Dorrigo a beautiful shared space for the community to enjoy. Come down to the nursery and watch it evolve! Or better yet, come and get your hands dirty. Friday and Saturday mornings, from 9am until 12pm. Scroll down to see the latest news (September 2026)

July 2024 News
A grant from Council's Environmental Levy Community Fund has financed the building of six new raised garden beds.
Three of the beds are low enough so people can work them while seated, either in a wheelchair or a garden chair. They also are capped with sturdy timbers that can bear the weight of people who may choose to sit on them. The taller beds are designed to be accessible to people standing who may be unable to bend to work in our regular garden beds. The space between the beds has been designed to be wide enough to allow wheelchairs, wheelbarrows, and people with mobility aids to pass each other.

September 2026 News
New ground has been broken since last year, for more abundant vegetable harvests. Fruit and Nut trees have been planted this Spring, with more to be planted when they arrive in coming months.
