Dorrigo Community Nursery and Garden will be open for Christmas Shopping until Saturday 21st December.

This is a very good time to give a gift from the plant kingdom - great growing weather!

We will reopen on Monday 13th January 2025

About us

About us

At Dorrigo Community Nursery Inc, we aim to grow both our community, and our wide range of local plant species, for the health of our planet and future generations. Our not-for-profit association includes:

  • Dandarrga Landcare, including our Native Nursery

  • Dorrigo Seed Savers

  • Dorrigo Community Garden

Dandarrga is the Gumbaynggirr name for the Dorrigo Plateau, and means stringy bark tree. We acknowledge the Gumbaynggirr, the traditional land carers of this country.

Our Mission statement

By communal activity, instigate, promote, and provide for regenerative land, water and vegetation management practises, with local provenance seed and plants. The quadruple bottom line framework for sustainability underpins all our activities.

Our history

Dorrigo Community Nursery Inc was founded by Annie Stanton, and a small team of volunteers. Since then, we’ve propagated thousands of seeds, developed our own Seed Savers branch, and participated in Landcare initiatives. We encourage community members of all ages to join us as partners, sponsors, or volunteers. We hope you will join us in our vital work.
